I know that most users for RPG's with Jcink boards are not using the Portal feature. I guess I am somewhat different in that I find it a valuable tool in creating any board, I wouldn't be without it.

Having said that, I need to know how to enable the portal if you are using a Custom Skin. Or is this not possible and that I would have to revert to either the Jcink or Invision skins?

With that I have a test board and currently when I do try to enable the portal at ACP/System Settings/General Configuration I get the following error message:

You need to first enable the portal, save settings, then set it as a homepage.

I may have missed something, please let me know if this feature is already available ( I can't find it though)

A Newsletter function for admins:

Basically with the platforms I have used previously, this simple function allows you to post up a news item about your board. It may be done from the ACP, or it can also be done as a post. In the latter case, staff have the option to pin the post and then 'announce topic', when you select that option you can then check the groups you wish to inform or all registered members. Once done, all members get an email alert as if subscribed to the topic.

Using the ACP Newsletter function is probably even simpler. Its usually placed under 'Administration'. All you need to do with that function is just click on it, fill the field in with what you wish and enter. Done. Everyone gets an email.

I think something is wrong with the skin I am using at the moment. There are some areas that you simply cannot read because the background and the font are both white. Adding a screen cap to show you the inbox PM's.

I've just today been informed that my partner, the girl who originally created our site won't be able to continue with it. So is it possible to change the email address originally provided to Jcink that identifies the owner of the site?

Sub Accounts [SOLVED]
I would like to ask is there any way to make creating sub accounts for members simpler? As it stands they need to log out, re-register with a new account, etc etc.

Would it not be far easier just to have a 'create sub account' tab on their profile which is so straight forward. I've had now three prospective members turn me down because of that alone.
