Good Afternoon Everyone,

I am sure that this question has been asked before, but unfortunately I am unable to find the previous thread where this answer is found. My fellow administrator deleted previous a previous user group and ended up making new ones so we now have gaps in our user groups section. I want to know if there is any way to have the missing restored so we can use them in order (I.E. we have #1, #2, #3, #4, #5, #6, #9 so #7 and #8 are missing). On the same note, would be able to have a missing custom profile field restored as well?

Thank you for your time!

Good Morning Everyone,

I want to make an index design that incorporates two columns, the left of which floats left and the right of which floats right. As of right now I am only able to get it to float left, float right, or float center - I can not mix them. I have tried manipulating the variables (margin, padding, etc) so that perhaps they sit a certain way to give that appearance but to no avail. As you can see in the current image HERE, the index categories are float left leaving a margin on the right. I want it so that the left indexes are float left and the right indexes are float right so that the gap is only in the middle. I want any additional indexes (as seen by the third one) to remain float left - no stretching or middle float required.

You can find the website where I am testing this HERE.

Thank you in advanced!

EDIT: I have figured out how to make two separate columns flush with the maintitle as I wanted, but now the column count is forcing categories with one column to split it into two. This is causing a single index board to have its CSS split in half. Is there a way to work around this?

EDIT2: After continuing to play around with the CSS, I think I have solved my own issue. For anyone who wishes to do this in the future, the following is what I did for an index using the HTML Templates in JCink:

CODE
#cat_1, #cat_2, #cat_3, #cat_4, #cat_5 {
width: 900px;
column-count: 2;
column-width: 430px;
column-gap: 30px;
margin: 10px 0px 0px 0px;
}

#index {
width: 440px;
height: 180px;
break-inside: avoid;
}

For this you must type out all of your category ids as shown with #cat_1, #cat_2, etc. This will force the columns to apply to all of your categories. You can adjust the width of your category, column count, column width, and column gap to your liking. After this, you wrap your custom HTML template in the <div id="index"> tag and add "break-index:avoid". If you do not do this then the column count will break your custom CSS! This was the major issue I was having after solving my initial issue.

Good Morning,

Could the URL http://serendipity.jcink.net/index.php?act=idx be freed up for additional use? The root administrator last logged on Sep 30 2013, 04:54 PM, so I believe it is dead at this time.

Thank you in advanced!

Good Evening Everyone,

I have a member who is unable to register or make any posts on this board. We have tried a multitude of items to remedy the situation with no solution (see below), but found that nothing has worked. This investigation has led me to believe that the IP address has been marked as spam. I went into ACP > Users and Groups > Ban Control and found no blocked IP addresses. I then went into ACP > System Settings > Security & Privacy and set "Disable anti-spam checker on new member registrations?" to "Yes". The member was still unable to do any of the listed activities. I am unsure of what to do at this point given that I cannot unblock their IP address. The IP address of this member is 66.193.242.56 and most likely tied to a large university server.

It should be noted that the account "Kate" was created by myself, so the IP address does not correlate with the given one. It was created with an e-mail provided by the member in question.

1. Upon registering under the name "Kate", the member received a confirmation message on their screen and the logged in name said "Kate"; however, no "Kate" appeared under the currently online, online today, or newest member list.

2. While logged in as "Kate", the member sent the root admin account a message which was never received.

3. The member logged out of "Kate" and tried to log back in, but the error message displayed that the account did not exist. Upon looking into the ACP, I also found that the account did not exist anywhere (validating or otherwise).

4. I, the root admin, created a "Kate" account and gave the password to this member. They attempted to login and were successful.

5. The member, now logged in as "Kate" attempted to post a new thread. This appeared on their screen, but was unable to be located on the board by checking the Recent Posts or Posts by this Member.

6. The member, now logged in as "Kate" attempted to post a reply in a pre-existing thread. This appeared on their screen, but was uanble to be located by the board by checking the thread in question, Recent Posts, or Posts by this Member.

7. I, the root admin, logged back into "Kate" and attempted to post a new thread. I was successful.

Good Afternoon Everyone,

I apologize to bother you all again, but I was wondering if there was anyway to remove the "Search This Forum" and "Search This Post" feature. I have no use for it and simply wish to hide it from my skin. Thank you!
