BBCode Breaks on Edit [SOLVED] , sort of...
#
I have four custom BCCode templates set up for my members to use. Three of them work fine without issue, but one, sort of breaks when I edit the post.

The code entered in the BBCode Manager in ACP:

CODE
<center><div id="white"><div class="shw"><div class="shs"><div class="lmh">(PARAM1)</div></div></div></div></center>

When I use the code initially:

[plain]This is a post.[/plain]

That part works totally fine when it posts, it renders exactly as it's supposed to.

When I edit the post, however, the post converts to this:

CODE
[center]<div id="white"><div class="shw"><div class="shs"><div class="lmh">This is a post.</div></div></div></div>[/center]

It still works if I put doHTML tags in the post, but it sort of defeats the convenience of the template in the first place? I've tried changing the name of the template, as that seemed to fix the problem for one of them, and switching from "white" to "plain" fixed it momentarily but it broke again when I used it in another thread. The issue persists regardless of whether you use the quick edit or the full edit.

If anyone has recommendations or knows how to fix it, I would appreciate it greatly because I'm losing my damn mind right now. Here is my board.

I think it might have something to do with nesting requirements, like you see mentioned here.

Please see the nesting requirements as stated in the documentation, once you add start and end points this problem will be resolved.

I did try that and simply ended up with the following upon edit instead:

CODE
[center]<! start white !><div id="white"><! start shw !><div class="shw"><! start shs !><div class="shs"><! start lmh !><div class="lmh">This is a post.</div><! end lmh !></div><! end shs !></div><! end shw !></div><! end white !>[/center]

Use HTML comments -- <! start white !> should be <!-- start white --> not <! start white !>

And try making a fresh post with the bbcode after you make the changes, since old edits won't work.
