Auto-subscribe when posting to a new topic
#
A lot of my members come from SMF forums and are used to the "unread replies" tab and do not realize that when they post to a new thread they have not created that it won't auto-track the thread for them to get alerts.

I was thinking to have a setting where you can choose to auto-track (Like the one where you track threads you make automatically) would be nice. You could choose to have it on, or just track the threads you want instead.

I've got just the code you need:

But we will also consider making this a setting.

Thank you so much!

Just to clarify, it says its for threads you create, does this work for when members post in a thread they didn't make to auto-track it as well? http://files.b1.jcink.com/html/emoticons/smile.gif

+1 from me for making it a setting! Auto-checking that tickbox doesn't really fulfill the requirements for my site. It's annoying to disable for every post and thread when a user doesn't want to auto-subscribe.

Understood, absolutely. We will be adding this feature in the future.
