Hello,
This is my first foray into this type of forum and i am pretty sure everything permissions wise is set correctly as all my other members aren't having any problems. I'm pretty sure it is what I like to call operator malfunction.
Anyway, the first issue was she couldn't register(all my other members could). Finally got her registered and now she sent me these pm's:
QUOTE
Hi Spice, I'm trying to post but it keeps saying I'm not logged in lol
First of all she posted in the welcome thread so not sure what she is on about. Then when I asked which forum she couldn't post in....
QUOTE
I can't post in some of the emotions lol
QUOTE
The emotions ,I tried the fisrt one and I couldn't post saying I was not logged in ...done a few now and it seems ok

So I don't know what to think laugh.gif

She is still having problems. She has the log in checked and she is using I.E. 7.

Maybe it's her browser not saving the cookies? huh.gif

Hi Spice, it's Sandy.

Has she tried clearing out her cookies/cache and re logging in?

Is there actually an error message stating that she is not logged in?
Maybe ask her if she can copy and paste the error message for you.
So that you can post it here.

If she belongs to other jcink boards is she able to post at them?

If she was posting in the emotes games section too quickly, maybe the flood control is set high? Just a few ideas. wink.gif

Sandy I don't have flood control on as I hate having to wait to post myself. She isn't having the problems over at the other Jcink boards she visits so I am stumped and she is the only one that is reporting this.
I will ask if she gets an error message and to pay attention to what it says. Thanks.

Hi Spice,
I have 2 other ideas that you might want to check out...

1. Under the security settings do you have the Proxies ( Ban Dodging ) set to yes?
I had one member that could not post after I had done this.
(She is a member at your board)

2. Do you have any ip addresses banned? There are certain ip addresses used by AOL that are shared ip addresses. (Some are in the 193.000.000.00 series)
So when you block one person you may unintentionally block many. Their ip addresses change so sometimes they might be able to login/post and other times they can't. (I know of at least one member at your board that has one of these ip addresses.)

Hope that helps.
~Sandy

Additionally, it's worth checking internet explorer's security settings to see if your specific site is accidentally being blocked from setting cookies (basically, allowing log-ins of any form).
