is there any way to keep people logged in ?

PHPQA has a feature that people can check "keep me logged in" when they're signing in.

yea, that works fine but is only good for about 24 hrs or so.

I just tested it on FF3 and looked at the time the cookies expire. Now I'm having the problem you cited. I don't know what changed but I should be able to fix the problem later.
