 Changing color [SOLVED]
#
I've tried for about an hour and a half but just could not find out how to change the colors. 1 (or 2?) I did by fluke.

Now I have absolutely now idea how to change the text colors. They are the ones circled that I need help with. Any help would be appreciated.

I don't think you need my site, but just in case?

***EDIT*** Just noticed my background colors are the same. Is there a way to add a different color inside the table and a different color outside the table?

If not I'll have to remove the boarder if it's possible.

First one is #submenu a, second is #navstrip a, third is .maintitle a. For ease in the future, hit F12 in any modern browser to bring up the developer tools, and you'll be able to select elements on the page to determine their selector string.

I did figure out how to change my background colors, but now I have one more issue http://files.b1.jcink.com/html/emoticons/sad.gif

Also I can't press F12 http://files.b1.jcink.com/html/emoticons/sad.gif as it toggles my airplane mode on/off. I've even tried CTRL, Shift, and Alt while pressing F12 and that didn't work.

That being said my issue is the #userlinks bar. I can't seem to change background color. I tried changing

CODE
#userlinks {
border: 1px solid #545454;
background-color: #F2F2F2;
list-style: none;
width: 960px;
margin: 0 auto;
background-image:url(http://files.b1.jcink.com/themes/default/white-gradient.png);
}

but it doesn't do anything. Am I doing something wrong or overlooking something?

I've tried for about 2 hours (maybe a few min less) and cannot seem to change the background color.

***EDIT*** Is there any way to remove the underlines from a user's name on their profile? The fact that while changing group colors and link colors, the underlines will never be the same color as the group color. It's not a huge deal...just really annoying.

***EDIT2*** found out how to remove the underlines. Now I just need to find out how to change background color for Userlinks.

Try right clicking an element - there should be an option called something like 'inspect' and that should help you find the selector, if you're good at wading through that stuff. That being said, try replacing what you have above with:

#userlinks {
border: 1px solid #545454;
background-color: #F2F2F2;
list-style: none;
width: 960px;
margin: 0 auto;
}

And change the bolded part to alter the colour.

LOL I misread your post so tried to inspect the Hex code in the stylesheet lol. I then decided to try something else which is exactly what your post told me to do lol...if only I read your post correctly the first time http://files.b1.jcink.com/html/emoticons/tongue.gif

Anyway it took about an hour or so maybe a little more but achieved what I needed to do.
